When my wife and I got engaged 14 years ago, we took on the same tasks that you are dealing with now. We set about to plan our perfect wedding. We tried to handle all the details from the venue to the music and flowers. Ironically, the one part that mattered most, the actual ceremony, was the item that we focused on the least. We didn’t know that we had options, so when we found someone that had our date available, we hired him. We never discussed the ceremony or spoke to him for more than 5 minutes. In the end, we got lucky and his ceremony matched the tone of the rest of our wedding. Looking back, we realize how easily we could have been disappointed.
